You're Perfect is inspired by deeply personal experiences, dramatized for the screen. It is, without question, one of the most difficult stories I have ever written. Revisiting these moments meant confronting fear, grief, and memories I spent years trying to understand, and in many ways, writing this film became part of my own healing. Stories about mental illness often focus on crisis. The fear is real, and the consequences are real, but they are not the whole story.

Between the darkest moments are friendships, laughter, hope, unexpected joy, and the ordinary acts of love that help us find our way back to one another. I hope that audiences leave with greater compassion, not only for those living with mental illness, but also for the families and friends who walk beside them. At its heart, You're Perfect is a story about choosing love over fear, discovering light in uncertain places, and recognizing that even when our minds betray us, our humanity remains beautifully intact.

Beyond Diagnosis

That's how the light gets in."
